Another Pair Like - em

Sitting in class I stretched out semi - reclined at my desk to allow everyone a better view of my new boots. During this manuever the teacher remarks “NEW BOOTS Billy”? I responded “not really; just haven’t worn these to class before”. She then remarked loudly “then I betcha gotta nother pair just like - em at home don’t ya”? I said, no, I have several pairs of boots, but none like these why? She said then I bet the shoe store does. Well; by now the entire class is staring at my boots and giggles are begining to erupt from all who could see them, I casually (KOOLY) looked down at my boots to see what was so darn funny, and why she would make such a remark. The top of the left boot was a different color and design pattern than the top of the right boot. In my excitement at buying myself a new pair of boots, I only tried on one of the boots, it fit correctly, so I never looked at the other boot. I got home and put them next to my bed so I could jump in them and go to class stylin’ and profilin’. Since then I check, doublecheck, then recheck all my shoes for the correct and matching mate before I buy or leave my house with shoes on of ANY kind.
ps:I was able to return the boots, and get a MATCHING pair; different color, style, bottoms and tops.

Vice Squad and Dan Post Boots

Back in 1974, after graduating from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s Police academy, I was one of three young Officers assigned to undercover work in the Vice squad. To celebrate the occasion, I bought myself a brand new pair of Dan Post boots. I had stopped by my favorite Aunt and Uncles to share the news of my new purchase and to fish for compliments on my boots.

I told my Uncle that with my new boots, I would be able to sneak up on the bad guys. My Uncle broke out laughing and said, “You’re not going to sneak up on anyone - as big as your feet are, those boots will come around the corner a half a block before you do.” He might have been right…

These Boots Were Made for Dancin’

By Paul Safyan, United States, posted April 6th, 2009

After I’d had my boots for 6 months or so and they were good and broken in, the star actor and principle dancer in a community theater production of “Oklahoma” spotted them, and said, “Wow, I wish I had boots like that to wear in this show. The boots they gave me just clomp on the floor and slip and slide and hurt my feet when I dance. Those look really comfortable.”
I said, “They really are, but I’ve never tried to dance in them. What size are your feet?” It turned out we were the same size, and, since “the show must go on”, I lent them to him for the run of the show. He tap danced, walzed, and two-stepped through 6 shows and many rehearsals, all the while saying that they felt as good as any shoes he’d ever owned. When he gave them back, they were none the worse for wear. A little leather protector and polish, and they looked just as good as the day I bought them. And I’d made a friend who now knows what it’s like to be in my shoes.

I get a lot of compliments about my Python boots. In fact my ex-wife asked the first time i wore a pair of Geniune Python Boots, ” Wow, how come you never wore boot’s like that when we were married” I said, ” You want to know how I hade these made” She says, ” Yes”, I said ” When you shed your skin, I made a pair of these Boot’s”… True story, she would even testify to that.
