These boots where made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. Left alone on the side of the rode these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. Picked up by the garbage man these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. Dumped on the garbage pile these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. Found by a big old dog these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. Brought to my house by that big old dog these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. I cleaned them up with saddle soap these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. I tried those boots on and what a great fit they were these boots were made for walking and that’s just what they wanted to do. One of these days these boots may walk along side of you.

Do I need boots?
By Tiffney Stringer, Beaver Springs, Pa, posted April 16th, 2009
I am 40 years old and never owned a pair of cowboy boots. This may sound dumb but I ride with out. It all started when my daughter was 2 years old. She loved horses, every time we would pass an amish buggy she would get so excited just to see the horse. at about age 5 she started to ask if she could have a horse and we just kept telling her someday maybe. Well at age 8 we bought her her first pony, Ginger. I got her into lessons and went all out to start showing at the small town shows, we bought her everything she would need. As we all know horses are addicting. We bought another horse so her an I could ride together. Everytime we would go to the stores to buy a pair of boots for me I as a mother would always put my daughters needs ahead of my own. Please don’t get me wrong she is not a selfish girl at all. She always says “mom don’t you think you should get your boots” I always say maybe next time. Why do we as parents do this? I have gone several times to buy a pair but there always seems to be something that is more important than my own. I am not writing this story to win the boots but to let others know that I have been riding for 6 years and I have been thrown off my horse and I didn’t have cowboy boots on. I just make sure that the shoes that I wear are shoes that won’t get caught up in the stirrups. For safty reasons I do make sure my daughter has everything she needs.
Good luck to all of you on winning a pair of boots.
I love my Justins!

I have an old pair of Justin lace-up workboots that I LOVE! I wore them out on my dates with my hubby and just wore them everywhere. April of 2001 I had an accident with a lawn tractor and shredded my left foot. I have been wearing a big black ugly brace for 7 years now.. but I have been trying on all of my different shoes to see if I could wear any of them. I finally tried on my left Justin workboot..and I felt like Cinderella.. It fit perfect. My foot does not move in that boot, and the insole is more comfortable than carpet. My Justin workboots are the only shoes I have that I can wear both of them comfortably. so when I go out and people look at my boots.. they are admiring my Justin workboots and not staring at that big ugly brace! Thank you Justin!
The Oblong Boot
By Ronson Griffith, Texas, posted April 15th, 2009
There once was a dude with an oblong boot
Who tried his best to give it a scoot
With his gal they did two-step
to the Cotton Eyed Joe
All night they sashayed til they couldn’t no mo
By the light of the silvery moon
He and she rode their steeds to where they could swoon
After escorting his gal home
Our dude went out to roam
At the local saloon he found what he was looking for
The bad hombre he had once run into at he dry goods store
At it they went
til they were both spent
And spent they did, the night in jail
The next morn the our hero awoke feeling like hail
After the deputy threw him out in the dregs
He went down to the cafe for bacon coffee & eggs
His waitress asked how did ya git thet oblong boot
To which dude replied To fit my oblong foot!
My comfy justins

A prerequiste for growing up on a horse farm in Middle Tennessee is a good pair of riding boots. Every horse lover knows there is no substitute for a comfy pair of boots. Not too long after I married my horse trainer husband (twenty seven years ago and counting), he bought me a pair of Justin ropers. I only wish I could say how many miles I have ridden and walked in those boots. Though I ride mostly in English saddles, recently my husband bought me a trail gelding. I have been riding him in a western saddle for the past few months. The other day I pulled on my boots to go ride and noticed something different when I walked. Upon closer inspection of my beloved boots, there were cracks in the bottom of the soles. Immediately I jump my hubby, accusing that old western saddle of ruining my best boots. My patient and understanding husband (the one who married a blonde) calmly replied, “It wasn’t the saddle honey, it was the twenty something years before the saddle.”
The boots that got away.

I am a very patriotic person, a very proud American if you will. I was recently in Nashville TN, and spotted a pair of boots in the Trail West Store and instantly fell in love… Well, it was a Saturday and the store was closed, but I went back again on Sunday just to look, and on Monday went to buy - but as luck would have it, they only had one pair left and they were in a size 5 - well there was no way I was going to squeeze my size 8 foot into these boots and the sales person was rather condesending about the entire thing so I left with nothing more than a picture. The rest of the trip, I looked in every boot store there was, but never found another like them. I have searched the internet also for another pair but have come up bootless. I do not recall the brand of the boots - the sales person told me, but my memory fails me -I know they are not Justin but I had to select one… These boots were made for me!
Goat Girl
By Megan Johnson, Chatham County, posted April 6th, 2009
My first pair of boots - Frye Boots. Delivered on my doorstep in a neatly packed brown box. As I approached my stoop I could hear the anxious boots dancing their way out to my feet! I hurridly ripped open the neatly packaged brown box and strapped the boots on one foot at a time. My very first pair of cowboy boots - and they places they’ve traveled: Walnut Creek to hear Kenny, Alan, George, and Martina; to school where my students admire my style; State Football Games; the grocery store; in summer and winter, with a dress or with jeans, shorts or a skirt; my brother’s minor league baseball games; spring training; and…the goat shows.
Yes, I wore my $350 brand new Frye boots to the NC State Fair Goat Show. My first Goat Show, State Fair 2007. I won first place and Best in Show with my lovely Boer Goat Rose. I owe it all to my cowboy boots. I didn’t grow up on a farm, I grew up in town. I didn’t grow up around animals, not even a pet dog. I grew up playing tennis at the country club, and watching my brother play ball - and still do. I grew up prim and proper, never wore a pair of wranglers or boots - till the Goat Show. “Where’d you find her”, they asked. “She’s a natural!” “Bring her back!” I did, go back that is, to the 2008 NC State Fair Goat Show - in my not so new cowboy boots. By then, the leather on the bottom was coming off and the smell of goat - well, stuff - kicked up every once in a while. Rose didn’t do as well this year, maybe she was worn out like my boots. But, I owe my confidence in the ring and my new nickname, “Goat Girl” to my brand new Frye Boots!
i gotta have those boots!!

well, it all started when we went to visit my sister-in-law in austin texas, in august. they were taking us to all the “big sights”……….of course, the alamo. then we went to a boot store, (because i am a shoe lover from way back!).
since both my husband’s and brother-in-law’s eyes started to roll back in their heads, we lead them to chairs to recover, and kathy and i started to look at rows and rows of beautiful boots!!
i of course, tired everything on they had in my size, when we both at the same time spied a pair of pink and green boots! “that’s them! i gotta have them!”
they were of the softest leather that i had ever felt in boots. they fit perfectly, they looked great, and the i LOVED them!
we showed them to “coma” and “tose” sitting in the chairs, and got the usual husband response. “yes, very nice dear”, until he actually looked and listened to what i was saying…….. “what are you going to do with those in CHICAGO?”
long story short, guess who didn’t get the pretty pink and green boots? yup.
needless to say, i pouted all the way to christmas, (that’s a good 4 months of pouting) until, there under the tree were my pink and green boots!
i guess, he’s not so bad after all.
My first pair of boots.

I am 12 years old and I started riding western when I was 9 years old. My first pair of boots were bought at a yard sale, they were another girls boots that looked like they were 10 years old. I thought they were the best thing ever. I am still wearing them. When I first got my boots they were 3 sizes to big, but that didn’t seem to matter to me. I am now 12 years old and the boots don’t quite fit but they are all I have and I don’t think that I will ever get rid of them. They make me feel like a real cowgirl.
