Snakes In The Car Lot

When I was younger my car was totaled in a car accident which was not my fault. I went out that weekend looking to buy a new car. I spent all weekend, going from from dealership to the next but no one would make me a deal on a used car. I was a single mother at the time and that was all I could afford. I told each one, that whoever made me the best deal would get my business. No one wanted to deal for a price I could afford. As I leaving one of the offices and walking through the car lot a salesman stopped me. He asked what the problems was and I told him, then he said, “Nice boots.” I said, “Thanks, my boyfriend bought them for me,” and I said goodbye. Later that night when I returned home I found a message on my answering machine from that very same dealership. They stated they have reconsidered and would make me a deal after all. I thought to myself, so that’s why they didn’t want to deal. They thought if I could afford to walk around in a pair of pricey snakeskin boots, that I could afford to pay more for a car. Well, I think they’re all snakes. I spent the next weekend shopping for a car in a pair of old sneakers and finally made a deal on a car.

Boots and other stuff stolen while in combat.

I was sent to war, I was with the Army. My stuff was in storage. My 2 storage sheds were broken into, on a Army base. My boots, saddle and all the stuff with it. Bridle, breast collar, split reins, gaming reins, southwest saddle pad, bit, bosal, my chaps, and show halter and lead was all stolen. I had worked hard for that saddle when I was in AQHA. I also lost a whole house full of stuff of my daughters and mine. Its pretty bad that someone would stoop low enough to steal someones belongings in any situation, but especially while that someone is in combat. The Army did nothing, as usual. I have not been able to replace all that I had and wish I could, cause I would love to go back to showing. I do horsemanship, showmanship and gaming.Thank you for listening to me. By the way, I spent 10 mos. in Iraq the first time and 11 the next. Thank you Melody FitzSimons

Met my wife at bootcity

I am from Casey, Illinois, and the nearest place to get good boots is south of Terre Haute, Indiana, so i went to boot city, and as I was shopping for new boots, I saw a beautiful woman walk by, I had never seen her before, I asked her opinion on a pair of boots, then she helped me find a pair that looked good.
Then after I paid for the boots, I asked her out to dinner, we have been together ever since. The day I met her was October 6th 2006, now look at us, we will be having our two year anniversary in October 6th 2009. If it wasnt for boot city I might not have ever met her. I still have the boots, now im about ready to come back and get some new ones. Thanks

Talk about a sole in one!

It was August 3rd, 2008 when I bought the boots. I wore them all over the place to work with my horses. Later in November, my right boot sole was hangin off my boot at school. My teacher, Mr. McClay, had to take a knife and cut the sole of my boot off. I was very mad. A couple days later, we went back to Henderson’s Western wear and told them what happened. The woman behind the counter was very rude. She smarted off to my mom and said “it is not a miracle boot” really snotty. I felt bad for so long and I didn’t get it back until February of 2009! Now I wear them all the time and I still don’t have the sole fixed!

My cowboy boots are tried and true
From the moment I found them
I instantly knew
Comfort and style
What a dream at last
But little did I know
The memories we’d share
These cowboy Boots and me
Make a perfect pair,

From Barrel Racing
To Bullriding
Cattle Driving
Doe-Si-Dos
Off to church on Sunday
Back to work on Monday
Miles and miles
Across many floors, yards, gardens,
ranches, groves, and gravel roads
A treasured memory held so dear
With every single scuff
Across each toe
What’s between These cowboy boots and me?
Only my socks know!

My grandson, who is graduating from high school in June, has ask for cowboy boots for several years. But since he didn’t live in Texas where I lived, I always sent him something else he requested. Like video games, etc. that don’t have to be fitted.

Well he quit asking for the boots, however, not long ago I was visiting him in South Carolina and we were talking about gifts he had received. He said “Grandma Texas, I’ve always liked the things you sent me………but (with watery eyes) I’ve never gotten my cowboys boots…..(break a grandma’s heart)……. SO for graduation he is getting cowboy boots……a loving grandma……

One Boot Short of a Pair

I live in a busy frat house, there are people coming in and out all the time. On any given day 100+ people might wander through our house. My room is on the 3rd floor, we call it the attic. (it use to be) - during the spring lots of people go through the attic to lay out in the sun on our roof.
One of these wanderers or one these roof top tanners stole a single Justin Work boot from my room. Now, I can understand a man with no shoes stealing a pair of used boots. (I would still kick his ass if I caught him) but I can not for the life of me understand why someone would take a single work boot.
So, needless to say I can not afford a new pair of boots and I can’t find my one missing boot. So what is a guy to do?
I know, I will try to win a free pair of boots at the best cowboy boot story website in the whole world. Please pick me.
